Many of the world’s leading cutting tool manufacturers produce taps, end mills, reamers, countersinks and indexable inserts with products and equipment from the Junker TOOLTEC range. The powerful production machines are high precision, economical and reliable.

Available solutions are CNC grinding of cutting tool blanks, complete grinding of twist drills, re-grinding of indexable inserts and many other applications within the cutting tool industry.

TOOL GRINDING (DRILLS - TAPS - REAMERS…)

The SATURN double wheel surface grinding machine is suitable for work-piece diameters from 5 to 200mm. The design combines the latest technical insights into grinding with Junker’s long-standing experience offering ideal solutions for all requirements. The ease of re-tooling, enabled by the simple transport wheel replacement is especially advantageous for small batch sizes.

Conventional or CBN wheels can be applied and this permits the grinding of softer steels as well as hard metal, ceramics, ferrite or other sintered materials.

DOUBLE FACE GRINDING

The GRINDOR multi-functional, external and internal cylindrical grinding machines offer simple operation and reliable performance within an affordable, competitive, price range. The machines are the ideal solution for contract manufacturers, small volume suppliers and medium-sized companies and hence best suited for single unit and small series production.

In contrast to Junker’s grinding solutions from the Automotive and TOOLTEC divisions, GRINDOR offers essentially standard grinding machines. The GRINDOR brand stands for grinding machines in the lower price segment, but still offers the absolute Junker high standard in terms of product quality and accuracy.

Erwin Junker Maschnenfabrik GmbH was established in 1962 by Mr Erwin Junker, originally for tool manufacture and re-sharpening. It began in a former flour mill using waterpower to drive part of the production machinery. Within 10 years the production rate had grown to include more than 30 types of grinding machines and a production area of some 3,000 square meters. The Group has subsequently expanded to some 1,000 employees who are involved in development, sales and production at 12 world-wide sites. Erwin Junker is now a world leading manufacturer of CBN high-speed grinding machines, supplying the majority of the automotive and component suppliers, tool makers and engineering companies around the world.
