High precision PPFM rack profile milling machines with a moveable X-axis, including a programmable C-axis with ±30° of rotation, The Habrama technology guarantees an extremely high level of machine availability for precision production. The optional table partition enables loading and machining to be carried out in parallel, offering significant benefits with regard to floor-to-floor cycle times.
The equipment is based on a rigid construction design and utilises the latest linear drive technology to ensure high accuracy and performance.

RACK MILLING

The Habrama range of precision PPSM profile grinding machines offer solutions for grinding of a wide variety of rack type components including both straight section and arc/circular segments. The machines are available for grinding components up to a length of 10,700mm up to a maximum module of 18mm.
Wheel dressing is applied during the primary grinding cycle using a 3-axis programmable diamond dresser and the utilisation of cylindrical grinding wheel adapters guarantees a fast changeover of wheels

RACK GRINDING

The Universal Milling Centre is equipped with a programmable, servo-driven, B-axis (milling head) with a maximum tilting range of 300°. The rigid fabricated machine bed provides excellent stability for heavy duty milling applications. Standard equipment includes a partial enclosure, direct position measuring systems for all linear axes, Siemens 840D controls and Sinamics drive systems. The machine can be applied to cutting of trapezoidal thread spindles (leadscrews) as well as worm and spline profiles. Machine ranges are currenlty available for components up to 4,200mm in length
